A new year has begun and like every new beginning there is great anticipation about the events that will unfold. Fifty years are behind us. The next fifty, in our march towards a century, are just beginning. We embark on this new journey with great hope and anticipation. The goal is greater glory for ourselves, our school, the Sangathan and the country. It is that time of the year when we take new vows and hope to fulfill them with commitment and to the best of our abilities. As members of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan let us collectively take a few vows. Let us vow to give the organization our best. We must own this great institution as our own so that whatever we do, it is to enhance its prestige and lead it to new heights of glory. Let us vow to excel in such a manner that Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan becomes a brand for excellence, for quality and sincere effort. Let us also vow to develop mutual respect for our colleagues, be patient with their weaknesses and feel happy for their success. We must conduct ourselves with dignity and persevere in our efforts to create harmony at the workplace. An organization will only grow if it nurtures creativity. We must try to do new things – find ways to do the old things in new ways; create a healthy environment for ideas to develop; adopt new practices for efficient functioning; keep an open mind to accept change. Let us vow to be receptive to new thoughts and in this let our actions speak louder than our words.
